I have made some decent progress on my village since my last post. After spending a lot of time mining and gathering resources, I began to place wood to layout the buildings of my village. The buildings being laid out with blocks makes it easier to see where you plan to build and to get started on a section of the village. Personally, it helps me feel less overwhelmed when deciding what to build first.

Archery Isle
The first area I decided to tackle was the Archery section of the island part of the village. This consists of fletcher's house, fletching tables, chicken coops, and an archery range all connected by dirt paths.
Fletcher's House
The fletcher's house has two beds inside, a few chests, a stone couch, and a few decorations. A side door connects the inside of the house to an outdoor covered patio where the fletcher's job site blocks 'fletching tables' reside.
Chicken Coop
The chicken pen entrance is a small wooden hut with a door and a gate, warning players to check for chickens before proceeding through. Stone stairs on the side of the building lead up to 4 chests on the roof. I will be storing chicken drops and seeds here. The first chest contains seeds for breeding chickens, the second chest stores eggs, the third store's feathers, and the last stores raw chicken. From here they can be distributed to other areas of the village or used as needed. I wanted the chests to be accessible without having to enter the chicken pen and risk them escaping.

Archery Range While this is designed with archery in mind, it could be used to practice throwing any objects in Minecraft including snowballs or splash potions. You could even practice hitting the target blocks with an ax or a sword. Consisting of four target blocks, there is variety in heights, distance, and hidden ones. I decided to have it facing the ocean so if any stray arrows make it beyond the wall, they will enter the ocean and hopefully not injure any unintended mobs or players. How is your village coming along?
