Village Tour A

My village has just begun, but I already have so many things set up and ready to expand the village. I have prepared some farmland, built my first tower home, and created a safe mining entrance. Farm I currently have sugar cane, wheat, and pumpkins growing alongside the river bed. As I continue to build up the town, the pumpkins will be staying where they are, the sugar cane will be moved on the other side of the island, and the wheat farm will move to the outskirts of town. Tower Home This is the first and most luxurious home I have planned for the village. I have designed each part of the home for easy escape and easy defense. On the first floor, the windows are made with slabs, creating open slits to fire arrows through. The stairs to the second floor are narrow and confusing for any enemies that might breach through the front door. The bridge way from the second floor of the tower leads to a trapdoor in the stable roofs, this allows you to drop down easily to ride away on a horse. Right now since I don't have any saddles, I am using the stables as a chicken coop and the trap door makes an easy entrance without letting the chickens escape. Mining Entrance The workshop area is a safe space with chests, furnaces, and a crafting table. I like to keep an extra bed and fuel resources in the chest in case it's too late to make it back to the village at night. On either side of the mine entrance, I will be adding armor to the armor stands as a reminder and emergency set of armor for anybody entering the mine or exiting at night time! Inside the mine itself, I use logs to mark entrances and exits to the various, winding caves. I have started to mine down a shaft, placing torches on my right side as I dig. This way I know to follow the torches on my left side to exit the tunnel! Next up, I will start laying out the various buildings, gathering supplies, and building as fast as I can. Details and decorations will be added slowly along the way.
